Velda Lechlitner, RN

They say when you know, you know, and at the ripe young age of five years old, Velda knew she wanted to be a nurse when she grew up. She was content to work as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), but at the encouragement of her husband, she went on to become an RN and is glad she took his advice. Now as an instructor at Premier Nursing Academy’s Goshen campus, Velda gets the joy of watching her students’ faces light up when the concepts she’s teaching start to register with them. She’s a big proponent of the healthcare field, but above all else, Velda believes that the most important thing any person can do is to find a job they truly enjoy.

Velda likes to spend her down time with her two Shih Tzus and using her green thumb out in her garden.
